December 3, 2001: Builders for the Bay Builders for the Bay is a first-of-its-kind
program aimed at reducing environmental impacts from residential and commercial
construction within the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Under the leadership of
the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, the Center for Watershed Protection and
the National Association of Home Builders, Builders for the Bay will encourage
the voluntary adoption of 22 site design principles that reduce the environmental
effects of residential and commercial development. Read

October 31, 2001: Cecil County Roundtable Through grants from the Chesapeake
Bay Trust and the Chesapeake Bay Program, Cecil County has recently recommended
changes to local subdivision and zoning regulations designed to encourage
development that reduces sprawl, minimizes the amount of asphalt covering
the land, and reduces pollution in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Read

was selected today as a recipient of the Maryland Chapter American Planning
Association (APA) 2000 Professional Achievement Award in the Zoning category.
