Watersheds: Stream Restoration
While
small watershed groups may not be able to fully implement a stream restoration
project (design, construction, etc), they certainly can identify, prioritize,
and generate funding for restoration and stabilization projects within the
watershed. Watershed groups can also provide volunteer labor for riparian
plantings and light construction work (biologs, staking, etc.) as shown here
in the South River. Below are some educational materials on restoration practices
to get you started.
