Electronic Publications for Download

The Center for Watershed Protection now has several publications available for purchase in electronic format. Purchasing Center research electronically means that you don't need to wait for your product to be delivered or pay shipping costs, and has the additional advantage of allowing you to only print pages that you need, mail sections to interested colleagues, or select data to include in presentations and reports.

1. What is a “Downloadable Resource”?

Products labeled "downloadable resource" are available for immediate download electronically in Adobe Acrobat .PDF format. After you enter your payment information, you'll be directed to a page when you can download your product immediately, with no waiting or shipping costs.

2.   Why am I being asked for my shipping address? I thought nothing was going to be shipped to me.

Even though nothing will be shipped to you, our secure online store requires every customer to enter a shipping address. In the event that there's a problem with your order or product, this information will help us to remedy your problem or ship you a replacement.

3.   Are there any system requirements to access downloadable documents?

Our electronic publications are in .PDF format and can be viewed with the Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is standard on most systems, but if you need to download a copy, you can do so for free in just a few minutes here:

4. I don't want to give my credit card information over the internet. How can I still order the downloadable version?

While ordering online using the Center's secure ordering site is safer than using your credit card at a restaurant, you can still order an electronic publication via fax. To fax an order to the Center, send a fax that includes the name of the product you'd like to order, your name, phone number, address, e-mail address, and credit card info to Jessica at (fax): 410-461-8323.

5.      I forgot to save the document I ordered! How can I get back to it?

All you need to do is refer back to your order confirmation e-mail. It should contain the link for the document.

6.      I ordered multiple publications, but only got the link to one of them. What should I do?

You should refer back to your order confirmation e-mail. The links for all the documents should be there.

7. When I print my publication out, all the words are squished together! What's wrong with it?

Adobe Acrobat documents can experience printing problems on some non-PostScript printers. Try printing your document on another printer. If you're still having problems, contact Jessica at jeb@cwp.org.

8. When I place a "Practice" article in my cart I do not see any of the other items I want to order.

Because there are so many "Practice" articles available for purchase we decided to make a separate store for them. They will need to be purchased separately from the rest of your order.
