Terms and Conditions of becoming and performing as an MSP.
The MSP program is voluntary and requires the on-line submittal of periodic updates on your training progress on this website. Several important terms and conditions apply:

  • Fill out the on-line survey of your current stormwater knowledge and experience when you first enroll.

  • Complete additional surveys as requested you progress through the training program.
  • The MSP is responsible for the time and travel costs you incur as you progress through the three training steps.

  • Upon receiving an MSP certificate, you are eligible to teach one day local design workshop, as assigned by your Training Partnership state team leader. These will generally be located within the region you practice in, and you will be paid a flat $1,500 per day for each workshop you conduct. Payment will be conditioned upon satisfactory completion of a mini-scope of work that outlines your duties. The Training Partnership will provide core powerpoint modules, training resources, laminated site plans and all other materials needed to perform an effective workshop.

  • Upon receiving your MSP certificate, you are also eligible to provide local technical assistance on behalf of the Partnership as assigned by your Training Partnership state team leader. These will generally be located within the region you practice in, and you will be paid a flat $1,500 per day for each workshop you conduct. Payment will be conditioned upon satisfactory completion of a mini-scope of work that outlines your duties.

  • Since the budget for training and on-site technical assistance is limited, the Training Partnership reserves the right on which MSPs will be assigned to do training or provide technical assistance in the four Bay states.
  • While each MSP may interpret and apply stormwater tools differently, and are encouraged to present their own perspectives and experience, they must present the basic core concepts, and not endorse any particular proprietary technique or service. Further, the MSP should not criticize or undermine the state stormwater regulations while serving as a MSP.
