Builders for the Bay Partnering with the National Association of Homebuilders and the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, the Builders for the Bay is designed to bring together builders, environmental groups, local governments, and other stakeholders to begin the local roundtable process in communities around the Chesapeake Bay area. This project requires training the staff of the Alliance for Chesapeake Bay and selecting communities in which to conduct local roundtables throughout the Chesapeake Bay region. Cecil County Roundtable The Center partnered with Cecil County, Maryland, to conduct a local site planning roundtable designed to revise existing development codes and ordinances to promote development that has less impact on local water resources. View the resulting Consensus Document here

Redevelopment Roundtable Under this project, the Center established model land development principles for redevelopment situations, with a strong emphasis on cost-effective stormwater solutions. The Center convened a group of fifty national stakeholders and experts to discuss impediments to redevelopment and infill projects and created a consensus agreement that outlines the resulting recommendations for redevelopment and infill development in highly urban watersheds. Central Rappahannock Roundtable, VA The Center and the Friends of the Rappahannock teamed together to promote better site planning and nutrient reduction practices in the rapidly developing central Rappahannock basin. The Center engaged elected officials, local government staff, and the building community in a roundtable approach to achieving implementation. View the resulting Consensus Document here
