Stormwater Manager's Resource Center

Print PDF

After many years of meritorious service, the Stormwater Manager’s Resource Center (SMRC) has been retired due to a lack of funding to keep the site updated.

Other websites with stormwater management resources are provided below to help facilitate the development of new and innovative MS4 permits. Please click on a link to be redirected to the appropriate site.

  • Center for Watershed Protection’s free downloads page.  This page includes many of the Center’s publications and includes a section specific to stormwater management. Many of the resources from SMRC can also be found here. Downloads are free but a one-time registration on the site is required. http://www.cwp.org/documents.html
  • Chesapeake Stormwater Network.  This page contains a wealth of training materials for stormwater designers, plan reviewers and others on how to comply with the new state stormwater regulations in VA, DC, MD and WV. http://www.chesapeakestormwater.net/
  • EPA’s Stormwater program.  Look here for resources related to compliance with NPDES MS4 permits. http://cfpub.epa.gov/npdes/home.cfm?program_id=6
  • COMING SOON: The Online Watershed Library (OWL).  The Center for Watershed Protection is currently developing the OWL to allow practitioners to readily access watershed and stormwater resources in one central location. The initial launch of the OWL is planned for Spring 2012 and will include a user-friendly, searchable online database of grey- and peer-reviewed literature that will also allow users to upload materials. The online library will be a time-saver for watershed and stormwater practitioners alike as it will provide users access to a well-organized database of relevant and up-to-date information.  Check back on the Association of Watershed and Stormwater Professionals’ website soon for more information on the OWL launch. http://www.awsps.org/
