The Center for Watershed Protection, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering responsible land and water management through applied research, direct assistance to communities, award-winning training, and access to a network of experienced professionals. The Center is your first source for best practices in stormwater and watershed management. The Center was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Ellicott City, Maryland. As national experts in stormwater and watersheds, our strength lies in translating science into practice and policy, providing leadership across disciplines and professions.

The Center’s constituency consists of: municipal government staff from planning, engineering, public works, parks, utilities and other departments; private consultants in engineering, landscape architecture, forestry, and environmental science; community organizations working to implement on-the-ground restoration projects; state and federal government regulators and scientists; and University professors educating others about water issues.

In 2013, we offer a variety of ways to reach our universe of watershed and stormwater professionals each month.

Online advertising - The Bulletin first began in 2010 in print as well as in flipbook format. Following the trend among other leading science journals, we will publish the Bulletin online only in 2013. We will also convert our popular newsletter, Runoff Rundown, into online news and add an experts’ blog on the CWPA website. Annual page views on the Center websites exceed 800,000.
