The Center provides services to local governments, watershed groups, and others looking for hands-on technical assistance. The most active technical assistance programs provided by the Center are described below, and represent a mix of grants and contracts with the federal government, local government, private foundations, and local watershed groups. As well, check out our online resources geared specifically for smaller watershed organizations.

Direct Assistance to Watersheds The Center is dedicated to providing communities with guidance on what type of watershed protection and restoration tools to apply and in what combination. We usually contract with local government, private foundations, and/or local watershed groups. Watershed Workshops The Center is dedicated to training watershed managers around the country to protect, manage and restore our streams, lakes and rivers. 	Stormwater Management The Center staff is composed of a professional civil engineering team that provides technical assistance on a variety of stormwater topics, including creating manuals, providing design assistance, retrofitting, and conducting workshops.
